Skiff ready for launch on 19th September 2015

Hurrah! We are happy to announce that with a final push from Rory and Steve Arran’s first skiff is ready to launch. Please come along and join us on Saturday, 19th September at the yacht club in Lamlash after the Lamlash Splash at about 1pm.

Farmers’ Show 2015

Despite the rather wet conditions there was a lot of interest in our new skiff.

Impressive figurehead

Steve Garraway has carved a beautiful and impressive mascot for our first skiff.

Seats being fitted

Rory Cowan is working hard to create the correct shape so the seats fit perfectly.

Double decker trailer arrives

The new trailer has been specially made to carry both skiffs to regattas. We’re very pleased with the result.

Turned for the first time

And there she is! Ready to be cleaned out, sealed and fitted out inside.

The hull is finished

Planked and keel on – almost ready for turning.

The skiff is progressing
