First club training was well attended

to-Holy-Isle

Training sessions of the Arran Coastal Rowing club will be every Saturday from 10am till 2pm, weather permitting. The first training session was very well attended and 15 – 20 (potential) club members turned up for a bit of rowing fun and to gain experience with Arran’s first skiff.

The first crew rowed across to Holy Isle and the second crew was taken there by Angus Campbell in his RiB to row the skiff back. The third crew did some loops around the bay. As you can see everybody had fun and all are keen to go out again asap. Our skiff Iolair is easy going and very stable. You don’t need any experience, we are all beginners and building up our rowing skills.

To avoid waiting times in the future we have put up a booking system on the website. Booking can only be done by Arran Costal Rowing Club members but guests are welcome. One club member has to be on board all the time. You can find all terms and conditions on the booking page.

A big thank you to Dave Ingham (Arran Photography) for the wonderful photos!
