Our fresher/novice team* (Sarah, Stephen, Ronnie, Colin with cox Cil) came 3rd and took home bronze medals. Congratulations and well done!
* A “Novice” is a rower who has never won a rowing race in any competition / A “Fresher” is a rower who has been rowing for less than a year
ACRC managed to put together crews for all races except the Junior race. At the end of the races the clubs had to compete against each other in a Tug of War where the Arran team came second and took home the silver medals.
Some took part in the 200m sprint challenge on a rowing machine and the ACRC rowers proved to be on good form and were winners in their age classes (Gillian, Cil, John). Stuart even got the fastest time of the day in all age classes.
Results of the day
