Arran’s first skiff was launched on 19th September 2015. Arran Trust kindly funded the project and Kenneth Bone and Richard Small presented the cheque to Callum McNicol, chairman of the Arran Coastal Rowing Club. Hurrah! We are happy to announce that with a final push from Rory and Steve Arran’s first skiff is ready to launch. Please come along and join us on Saturday, 19th September at the yacht club in Lamlash after the Lamlash Splash at about 1pm.
Despite the rather wet conditions there was a lot of interest in our new skiff.
Steve Garraway has carved a beautiful and impressive mascot for our first skiff.
Rory Cowan is working hard to create the correct shape so the seats fit perfectly.
The new trailer has been specially made to carry both skiffs to regattas. We’re very pleased with the result.
And there she is! Ready to be cleaned out, sealed and fitted out inside.
